Owner Sanford Levy welcomes you to Jenkinstown Antiques. I specialize in American
18th and 19th Century country and formal furniture, artwork and accessories, and
have a particular knowledge and love for items from the Hudson Valley, where I
have lived and worked with antiques for the past twenty five years.
I have always had a shop in the historic village of New Paltz, in New York's beautiful
Hudson Valley region, although it has changed location in recent years. The original
shop was located in the 1792 Hallock House, which was saved from demolition, moved,
and then reconstructed on my property in 1986, and is now open by appointment
only. My newest location is in an historic storefront in an area of New Paltz
once known in the 1820's as Helltown. It is less than a mile from the New York
State thruway, and I welcome you to stop in and look through my eclectic assortment
of 18th - 20th Century antiques and art.
Along
with the varied selection of merchandise, the Featured
Works section highlights artists or areas I have a special interest in, including
the Kingston, NY artist Julia McEntee Dillon and items with unique Hudson Valley
origin. To
